What I loved this week:
1. Finding an affordable gym. I plan to post more on this later, but just when we thought we would go broke if we joined a gym around here, a wonderful friend filled us in on an affordable little fitness center. I started a 12 week training program and just feel so much better when I get myself active most days of the week.
2. Cooking and Baking. I really started planning meals this week and sticking with them, which is helping us spend less money so far (I think). Also, I've continued my unending journey of finding healthy ways to bake delicious treats. Somewhat successful so far. Recipes to come!

3. Breakfasts with Nick. Last week Nick had his breakfast provided most mornings, so I snoozed a bit longer. This week, I decided to get up and spend breakfasts and coffee with him before he went to work. Definitely worth the earlier wake up time!
4. Figuring out the blogging world. It's giving me something to do with my time...and it's just the beginning!
5. Thinking about college. Thinking about my brother starting college and the excitement (and frustrations) that come with freshman year. Also, helping out with our church's college ministry. I kind of love thinking about college...that season of my life doesn't actually have to end, right? Not letting it.
Food I loved this week (because who doesn't love talking about food?):
1. Carpe Donut. Organic, apple cider donuts. I don't even actually know what that means, but they are heavenly, so it doesn't actually matter.
2. Beer Run. Really awesome new restaurant we found with tons of local beers and wines to try. Also, local grown, organic food. Win Win Win.
3. Greenberry's Ginger Peach Black Tea. I can't get enough...officially my favorite tea right now. Add some cream and stevia and I'm loving it! Also, add a giant vegan/gluten free cookie. I didn't know anything with that title could possibly taste so lovely.

Encouragement for the week ahead:
There was a song at church this morning that we sang talking about walking by the spirit...
"Saints walk by the spirit because they know when you do, the depths of sin within your flesh will not prevail o'er you..."
And it made me think about the meaning of walking by the spirit and really asking God to lead each day. It is so important to pray each morning and just ask God to continually make us new, but so often I don't even think to do it. These words are my encouragement this week, reminding me to invite God into my day each morning and truly trust him with my days, where he is taking me, and the plans he has ahead.
